Blue & Gold Banquet

Tuesday night was the Blue & Gold Banquet and it was a great evening for all the cub scouts and their families. The tables were decorated with cute goldfish bowls and fishing lures.

Brother Glen Stilson gave a nice history of the scouting program and its humble roots.
Brother Stein and son showed us their acting talents in a small re-enactment of how scouting started in the US.

Sir Robert Baden Powell was the founder of the Boy Scout program.

Today there are 50,000,000 scouts world wide.

There was dinner and conversation and the usual racket of rowdy kids chasing each other around the cultural hall.

Hi, Aaron!

The Ellis Family and Sister Yamamoto

The Stein Family

The teen/pre-teen table

A couple of future cub scouts!

All decked-out...and in need of a serious haircut.

And the food is out! No pushing or line cutting!

"He ate the goldfish!"

The Bowman Family

Singing and dancing and activities for all to enjoy. Someone will have to remind me...I forget the name of the song. But it was hilarious!

And the most fun of the night was making an egg dropping apparatus out of a styrofoam cup, several straws and scotch tape.

And of course to end the night a delicious cake decorated in our patriotic colors.

See ya next time!

Sorry this went on so long! But I am sure you all enjoyed it, right!?
See you next time!
